JOB DESCRIPTION

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

In its commitment to long-term expansion and enhanced service to patients and community, Chipley Physical Therapy’s standards of employee skill, competence and teamwork are and shall remain among the highest in the field.

Thus, for the position of Physical Therapist, the employee must perform all duties normally expected of a physical therapist in his or her professional capacity, including the maintenance of proper patient records, evaluations, progress notes, communications with referring physicians, and other administrative functions, including quality assurance, as may be from time to time required by the management.  The employee will be expected to abide by the general operating policies of the clinic.  Duties may at any time be expanded or reduced, depending upon management decisions regarding the structure and flow of the workload of the organization.

This job is performed by applying specific skills, training and/or experience in the practice of physical therapy to the end that one’s patients know they have been helped, are satisfied with their treatment, are no longer suffering from their initial complaints, and whose health has greatly improved.  This is expected to be produced in high quantity, with exceptional quality.

In addition to the technical knowledge, experience and competence required of a Physical Therapist, Chipley Physical Therapy’s employees must also possess personal aptitude to solving problems, high intelligence, perseverance and orderliness, responsibility, drive toward and satisfaction at the attainment of goals, calmness and endurance under stressful conditions, consistency and predictability in the regular attendance to duty, individual initiative as well as participation in group efforts, correct estimation of specific circumstances and an absence of unconstructive or ill-considered criticism, fairness, empathy and appreciation toward fellow workers and effective communication skills.

In keeping with these job  requirements, Chipley Physical Therapy realizes application forms, interview procedures and pre-employment non-medical testing regimens that will assist the company to determine whether applicants posses the skills, competency and above average personal attributes necessary to meet the company’s performance standards.  All applicants for Physical Therapist undergo such screening procedures.
